Nathaniel S. Bonnell, CPA
As President & CEO, Nathaniel Bonnell is responsible for the development and execution of the Bank’s strategic objectives and goals. He provides leadership, direction and guidance for all functions of the bank.
Nathaniel graduated from Davis & Elkins College as valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting & Management, and received a Master of Business Administration from West Virginia University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and WV Society of CPAs.
A 2014 graduate of Leadership West Virginia, he was named to the WV Executive Magazine Young Guns Class of 2020. He has been named Business Man of the Year by the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, and Outstanding Young Alumnus at Davis & Elkins College. He has received a Merit Award for the highest score in WV on the CPA exam from the WV Society of Public Accountants.
He sits on the board of directors for the Randolph County Development Authority and is a member of the board of trustees of Davis & Elkins College. He also serves as a member of the Elkins Rotary Club, and Mercy Chapel United Methodist Church’s administrative council and finance committee. He is an Assistant Director with the Mountain State Forest Festival, a board member for the West Virginia Bankers Association, and a former Advisory board member for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh.
Nathaniel also serves as President of Citizens Financial Corp. – the bank’s holding company.
